Thugs and Mobsters

I’m sure you’ve heard- tea partiers are being called “mobsters” by the DNC. The White House says that it’s all just “manufactured anger“. Barbara Boxer and Chris Matthews say that you’re “well-dressed middle-class people in pinks and limes…Brooks Brothers Brigade”. For the first time, physical violence has marked a protest . In St. Louis, SEIU thugs were out in full force, and a tea partier was hospitalized. Not surprising, since Andy Stern of the SEIU describes his tactics in this manner: “We prefer to use the power of persuasion, but if that doesn’t work we use the persuasion of power”.  Do these sound a little like Saul Alinsky’s 12th Rule, “Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it”? When their policies aren’t working, and people begin to voice their opposition, they resort to personal attacks, physical violence and intimidation.

Look, I’m not afraid of union thugs. I think it’s exciting that people are fighting for our country and their beliefs. If anything, you should be encouraged that the left-wingers are so threatened by this movement that they must use petty, personal attacks to discredit it.

I want to put together a page on here entitled “Meet the Mob”. Will you help? Send me your story- tell me why you’re involved, what issues you’re passionate about, and what drove you to become an activist. I think that you’ll see that we’re a very diverse group of people, but you’ll also see that you’re not alone. There are millions of people just like you who feel the exact same way.
